Happy Veterans Day🫶
At the ripe age of 17 in 2009 I made the decision to join the United States Army reserve. My time in the army reserve was short-lived because my unit was closed down in 2015. In 2015, I decided to join the active duty army. My first duty station was Hawaii, where I gained the opportunity to travel the world and experience new cultures. I left Hawaii in 2018 and my second duty station was Savannah Georgia although I didn’t get to travel the world as much I did deploy to Iraq. When I got pregnant in 2020 I decided to leave active duty and join the army National Guard in Atlanta Georgia. I am still currently serving in the United States Army National Guard. I do not plan to retire until at least 10 more years due to me not taking the military serious when I was in the reserve. My time in the military has not only taught me how to persevere, but most importantly it has taught me how to be a better person, a better woman, and a better mother!
