The purpose of life

The goosebumps I get when talking, even thinking about this is beyond words.

Had a near death incident that happened many years back, during my late teens. I am a fast walker so naturally i walk ahead of others, in this case, my mom and brother. I stopped at the traffic light, it was about to turn to green man. When it did, I waved my hand to get my mom and bro to hurry and crossed the road myself. About halfway through, I heard my mom shout 'ah girl ah WAIT' and I stopped right in my tracks (I usually won't though, and will only react only after i finish crossing the road). So the moment i did what I did, i turn to see a lorry zoom past me, speeding at more than 100km/h and my hair flew from the speed, the memory was so vague yet so clear I just can't explain it.

My mom ran to me and said the usual 'WHY DIDN'T YOU WAIT FOR US'. My mom being her religious self will say things like 'thank goodness i pray everyday for our family's safety and health', which i'm very thankful for, its her way of showing her love to us. Sometimes I wonder why didn't it happen to me? Why didn't I die right there and then? Do I have some missions i need to fulfill in life and the universe thinks its not my time yet? It's fascinating to me how the world works sometimes.

We are not promised tomorrow and yet here we are wasting our time on things and people that are not worth it. This acts as a reflection for me, to cherish every moment because you'll never know when it will be your last 🩷

... Read moreLife is often a journey filled with unforeseen moments that can drastically alter our perspective. Near-death experiences (NDEs) are known to evoke significant self-reflection and profound realizations. Many individuals report transformative insights that shape their views on life, love, and purpose. During a near-death episode, such as an accident or a health crisis, the mind often races through memories and emotions, leading to a reconsideration of what matters most. Adventure, spontaneity, and fearlessness prevail, but so does the value of relationships. Embracing every second becomes essential when confronted with stark realities. This reflection processes the fleeting moments we frequently take for granted. Whether it's the sound of laughter, the warmth of a hug, or the beauty of a sunset, these daily occurrences suddenly become treasures when we recognize their impermanence. Philosopher Viktor Frankl emphasized the significance of meaning in life: it is crucial to find personal meaning even in suffering. Furthermore, sharing stories of survival and transformation can unite communities, fostering connections that inspire and empower others. Asking the question, "Why am I here?" motivates people to align their daily activities with their true values and purpose. In essence, every moment spent reflects the broader narrative of life, guiding us to appreciate existence fully and to love fiercely. Each of us has a mission to fulfill, and often, our brush with mortality provides crucial insights on how to live with intention and depth. Cherish your journey, as your time and purpose are uniquely yours.

The true purpose of life is to use this opportunity to find a way out of this never ending planet prison which you don't even know is a prison. Everything else is illusory, fleeting and ephemeral. Repeated senselessly.
