Overheating

I’ve personally found that feeling 'overheated'—whether mentally, emotionally, or physically—often signals that my body and soul need a break. Just like the phone in the OCR text that gets hot from running too many apps, our minds and bodies can become overwhelmed if we don’t pause and rest. What really helped me change my perspective was embracing the idea that rest isn’t a sign of weakness but a vital part of self-care. Drawing inspiration from faith, I’ve learned through scriptures like Psalm 4:8 about lying down in peace and trusting protection in God’s care. This helped me let go of guilt when taking time to rest, allowing myself to truly recharge. Practically, I started "closing apps" in my life—reducing unnecessary commitments and distractions. This means saying no when needed and prioritizing moments of calm and prayer, which gives me clarity and renews my spirit. For me, combining faith and wellness practices has become a daily ritual: praying for peace, meditating on God’s promises, and listening to my body's needs. Overheating isn’t just about physical exhaustion; it manifests in stress and anxiety. Addressing it means honoring both body and spirit. When overwhelmed, stepping back to rest, pray, and protect your inner peace is not only beneficial, it’s essential for long-term health and happiness. I encourage anyone struggling with constant busyness or stress to remember—even God rested—and so should we.
