... Read moreEmotional abuse can sneak into your life and leave lasting effects that are often hard to identify. Many people who have been through it share similar experiences like constantly feeling the need to explain themselves or doubting their own feelings and perceptions. This kind of manipulation teaches your mind to question your reality, often leading to anxiety and self-criticism. For me, one of the hardest things was constantly feeling nervous around certain people because my body was always on high alert, expecting criticism or anger. Setting boundaries was another major challenge. I was raised to believe that saying no would result in guilt or rejection, so I found myself saying yes even when I knew it was harmful. This constant self-sacrifice leaves emotional wounds that don’t heal easily. Also, apologizing for things that aren’t your fault becomes an automatic response, a way to avoid conflict or disapproval, which can be exhausting. Recognizing these signs is the first step toward reclaiming your mental health. There are helpful resources available, like support apps developed by therapists to guide you through the healing process. Sharing your experiences with others who understand can also make a huge difference. Remember, you’re not alone, and healing from emotional abuse opens the door to rebuilding trust in yourself and healthier relationships.

The Cycle Of Emotional Abuse
Sometimes it wasn’t the painful moments that kept you there. It was the possibility. The moments that felt different. The version you hoped would stay. The feeling that maybe this time would be different. The potential felt real. That’s what made the cycle hard to leave. #Emotiona
