Anxious love (anxiety streak)
People who are afraid of being dumped, think too much, are not confident, need love and confirmation from the other person all the time, often feel insecure in a relationship.
Characteristics of an Anxious Lover
- Think about it when the other person doesn't answer the line or disappear.
- Afraid of being dumped all the time, even for no apparent reason.
- Need confidence often, like wanting him to say, "Still love each other?"
- Too much to keep the relationship.
- Sensitive to change, like he's getting less and less uncomfortable and crying.
- Very addicted to my girlfriend. Afraid of being far away. Afraid of him meeting other people.
The reason for this
• Have experienced neglect or unstable love in the past
• Growing up in an environment where adults don't consistently respond emotionally.
• Lack of self-confidence. Think of yourself "not good enough."
What should Anxious lovers do?
1. Recognize yourself that fear and insecurity come from within, not from the other.
2. Practice taking care of yourself to be calm without relying on the other.
3. Set boundaries and learn that good love must not frighten us.
4. Develop self-confidence and learn to communicate honestly.
5. If it affects a lot, try talking to a psychologist or therapist.
