Apps I almost gatekept 👀

There are a couple apps I almost kept to myself but they were just too good not to share! Also, I get asked these questions a lot since creating content on social media. My two favorite apps for content creation would have to be Lightroom and InShot. InShot is another alternative that is similar to CapCut and is user friendly. To be honest, CapCut overwhelmed me with all of its features. There's just too much going on in that app. Someone tell me a better photo editing app other than Lightroom mobile. It's just super easy to use and I rather edit my photos and videos on my phone than on a computer. It's also easier for me to transfer my files to my phone. If you haven't tried these apps you definitely should!

... Read moreOkay, so I spilled the beans on Lightroom and InShot, but let me tell you why these two are absolute game-changers for anyone creating content, especially if you're like me and prefer editing on your phone. They're genuinely the apps I almost gatekept because they make my photos and videos look so professional without all the fuss. Let's start with Lightroom. Before I found it, I thought achieving those perfectly lit, color-graded photos required a complex desktop setup. But Lightroom Mobile truly brings powerful photo editing right to your fingertips. I love how intuitive it is to adjust the 'Light' and 'Color' settings to get that perfect mood. Whether I'm trying to brighten up a dim shot or just add a consistent 'Effect' or 'Blur' to my aesthetic, it's all so straightforward. I actually find myself playing around with the sliders and seeing immediate results, which is incredibly satisfying. It’s like having a mini studio in my pocket, letting me refine every detail to make my images pop. Plus, finding and applying presets can instantly elevate your entire feed, giving it a cohesive, polished look that really stands out. Then there's InShot, my absolute go-to for video editing. I've tried other apps, and honestly, some of them, like CapCut, just felt overwhelming with too many features crammed into one screen. InShot, on the other hand, just clicks for me. It’s incredibly user-friendly for everything from trimming clips on the 'video timeline' to adding catchy 'Audio', fun 'Stickers', or clear 'Text' overlays. I can quickly apply an 'Effect' or 'Filter' to match my brand, and the 'Canvas' option helps me adjust aspect ratios for different platforms. It's perfect for those quick edits you need to get out there without sacrificing quality. I can stitch together multiple clips, add transitions, and even do some basic color correction, all within minutes. It really simplifies the video creation process, making it feel less like a chore and more like creative play. While apps like Canva and Adobe Express (which I've seen pop up in my 'Photo & Video' app lists) are fantastic for graphic design or quick social media assets, when it comes to the nitty-gritty of perfecting my actual photos and videos, Lightroom and InShot are my undisputed champions. They truly are 'MY FAVORITE APPS!', allowing me to achieve high-quality results directly from my phone. I genuinely believe these tools can simplify your content creation workflow and help you produce stunning visuals without getting bogged down by overly complex interfaces. If you’re looking to up your game without the steep learning curve, you absolutely have to give these a try. They’re the secrets I couldn't keep to myself any longer!

Hi everybody!! I’m a SAHM with a baby boy. I’m hoping to find some mom friends out there! I’m 22 years old (about to be 23 in a few days!). I love all things fine arts. Theatre, music, art, design. I’m hoping Lemon8 will be a little more of a social, creative outlet than my other socials have been.
