baby sleep tips

hello ◡̈

Baby sleep is a constantly shifting, full of twists and turns that can leave even the most prepared parents feeling overwhelmed.

Babies are biologically wired to sleep in short bursts, waking frequently to ensure their safety and satisfy their needs. This natural inclination to seek proximity and comfort from their caregivers means that babies often crave closeness, even while sleeping - hence why they may wake more often. Embracing this unpredictability and adaptability is key to navigating the ever-changing world of baby sleep.

By acknowledging and working with these tips I listed as well as their innate tendencies, you'll be better equipped to support your little one in getting the restful sleep they need. Sometimes that might even mean adjusting your approach as their needs evolve. Stay flexible, stay patient!

You’ve got this! 🤎

One critical tip is to create a dark room for your baby, as it reduces stimulation and distractions during bedtime. Additionally, using soothing music or white noise can help your baby relax and fall asleep faster; just be mindful to turn it off once they are sleeping soundly. Maintaining a comfortable room temperature, ideally between 68-72°F, is essential since babies cannot regulate their own body temperature effectively. During the day, try to get your baby outside for natural light exposure, which helps regulate their circadian rhythm. Incorporating bedtime feedings can also help the baby feel satisfied and sleep longer. Lastly, stay flexible and adapt your routine as your baby's needs change. Remember, every baby is unique, and what works for one may not work for another. By staying observant and patient, you can support your baby's evolving sleep needs.
