Mom guilt is a real thing & you’re not alone

Yeah. I see you. I get it.

☀️

Recognizing who you are isn’t who you want to be and actively trying to change that, isn’t for the weak.

I feel like as a stay at home mom with two kids (1yr old boy and 4yr old girl) is HARD. I get no breaks. I am in go-go mode the moment I open my eyes til the moment I go to bed, to wake up and do it all over again. All I feel like I am in the stressed out, overwhelmed, mom: and that shit HAS to change! ✅

*

*

I’ve come to the realization that it is no longer an option to live this way. I CANNOT live this way. Im changing it up.

*

*

I’ve decided every morning I’m going to read this to myself, to start the day right. Changing your mindset is difficult, but I know it’s necessary and will be so rewarding at enjoying my life again. I don’t feel like me anymore, I feel like all I am is a mom- I NEED TO OWN THAT SH!T. I’m a MOM! To two beautiful babies! This is my life and I am eternally grateful for it, even the rollercoasters along the way. And if you’re a mom, or just want to change your mindset so you can start enjoying your life while you’re in it, I SUPPORT YOU. I SEE YOU. You’ve got this. 🫶🏻 you are not alone. 🫂

... Read moreMom guilt is an emotional experience that many mothers face, often feeling overwhelmed and stressed amidst the daily demands of raising children. It's essential to recognize that you are not alone in this struggle. Many stay-at-home and working moms share the same feelings. Start your day by practicing self-affirmation and prioritizing your mental health. Consider carving out a few minutes daily to breathe and reflect, allowing yourself to process your emotions without judgment. It's natural to feel frustrated or anxious; acknowledge those feelings and give yourself permission to experience them. Set realistic expectations; remember that perfection is unattainable, and it's okay to make mistakes. Motherhood is a journey full of ups and downs, and maintaining a positive mindset can significantly impact your overall well-being. Surround yourself with a supportive community, whether through friends, family, or online forums. Share your experiences, seek advice, and lift each other up. Ultimately, practicing patience and self-compassion is crucial in overcoming mom guilt. Make a commitment to love yourself through the challenges and enjoy the beautiful moments with your little ones. Recall that every day is a new opportunity to create cherished memories together; celebrate the small victories and embrace your role as a mom with pride.
