🤎No more bracing for impact🤎

🤎Some wounds don’t show on the outside. They’re the kind that teach you to stay a little guarded. The kind that quietly say, “Don’t give too much this time.” The kind that makes you hold your breath when something feels really good… because last time it didn’t last..

🤎But love isn’t supposed to feel like you’re standing in a storm just waiting for the next strike.

•You can breathe.

•You can unclench your jaw.

•You can loosen your grip.

•You can let your shoulders drop.

🤎You don’t have to drag yesterday into today.

You don’t have to prepare for pain that hasn’t even happened. And you don’t have to face your fears by yourself.

🤎God isn’t repeating seasons to punish you. He refines us. He grows us. He leads us forward not backward. The past may have shaped you, sure. But it doesn’t get to decide what happens next.

🤎What hurt you before doesn’t get the final word. And that’s alone is something to be so thankful for. Our God uses everything as a stepping stone for our bigger purpose.

🤎Prayer:

Father God, You see the parts of us that still tense up when something starts to matter. You see the memories that try to creep in and convince us it’s going to end the same way.

Lord, help us breathe again. Teach us how to step forward without dragging old pain behind us.

Remind us that just because something hurt before doesn’t mean it will hurt again. Quiet the fear that tries to protect us by isolating us. Because fear is not from you. Give us the courage to let YOU lead. And place the right people around us, the kind who don’t try to fix us or rush us, but simply stay. The kind who reflect Your patience and Your steady love.💕 Help us unclench. Help us trust. Help us believe that what You are doing now is new and good. And when fear whispers, let Your peace be louder. Amen

... Read moreWhen it comes to healing from emotional pain, one of the hardest parts is learning to release the protective walls we build around our hearts. From my own experience, I’ve found that these wounds often shape the way we approach new relationships and opportunities—making us overly cautious or guarded. But healing starts when you realize that the past no longer defines your future. The scripture from Isaiah 43:19, "See, I am doing a new thing! It is already happening! Don't you see it?" has been a powerful reminder for me. It encourages embracing fresh beginnings and trusting that new paths and blessings are unfolding even when we don’t immediately perceive them. One practical way to move beyond fear is through intentional breathing and mindfulness. When I feel my body clenched in anxiety—tight jaw, tense shoulders—I pause to consciously relax those muscles. This physical act often helps release the mental tension as well. Another important aspect is surrounding yourself with supportive, patient people. It’s crucial to have companions who don’t rush you or try to "fix" your pain, but instead, walk alongside you with steady love and understanding. This kind of community mirrors the patience and compassion we seek from our faith. Finally, prayer and affirmations affirming peace and courage are essential for rewiring our heart responses. Asking for help to “breathe again” and to “trust what is new and good” opens space for healing and growth. It allows us to believe that fear doesn’t have the final say. In my journey, letting go of bracing for impact hasn’t been immediate. It’s been a gradual process of faith, self-love, and patience. But with each step forward, I feel lighter and more able to receive the love and joy that life has in store. If you’re struggling with similar feelings, know that it’s okay to take it slow, and that new seasons of peace and purpose are possible.

Why bracing isn’t the same as core support
A lot of women are told to “turn their core on.” What usually happens instead is bracing — tightening, gripping, holding — because that’s what their body learned was safe. That doesn’t mean their core is weak. It means it’s protective. True core support doesn’t come from force. It comes
