Barcelona Day Trip to La Sagrada Familia

La Sagrada Familia La Sagrada Familia

Must visit while in Barcelona!

Just right after we got off our cruise ship, we took a taxi to see this magnificent place! La Sagrada Familia is indeed a masterpiece designed by the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí. Can’t help but stare and appreciate its incredible height and unique shape. I’ve been to many different churches / structures but this one ☝️ is just WOW.

We didn’t get to see inside for the tour part as we were catching a train back to Madrid but will definitely won’t miss it the next time we go back here :)

*.5 on my iPhone camera did wonders!

... Read moreLa Sagrada Familia, an architectural marvel in Barcelona, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that attracts millions of visitors each year. This magnificent basilica, designed by Antoni Gaudí, has been under construction since 1882 and epitomizes Gaudí's unique approach to merging natural forms with religious symbolism. Visitors can admire its intricate facades, including the Nativity and Passion facades, each telling its own story through detailed sculptures and carvings. For those planning a day trip, consider booking your tickets in advance to avoid long queues, especially during peak tourist seasons. The interiors, with their towering columns resembling trees, are equally breathtaking, and if time permits, don’t miss the chance to experience the spectacular stained glass windows, which illuminate the space with vibrant colors. Local transportation options, including taxis and public transit, make accessing La Sagrada Familia convenient. Combining this iconic site with other nearby attractions, such as Park Güell and Casa Batlló, can create a fulfilling day in Barcelona.
