... Read moreLiving with ADHD often means navigating a frustrating cycle of enthusiasm and overwhelm. One common experience is starting numerous projects or tasks with high energy but struggling to bring them to completion. This pattern can generate persistent guilt, making it harder to maintain motivation. From my personal experience, acknowledging this cycle is the first step toward managing it effectively. Instead of criticizing myself for what remains unfinished, I've learned to celebrate small wins and unfinished progress as valuable steps forward. Focusing on self-care and setting realistic goals helps mitigate feelings of guilt and burnout. Using structured techniques such as time-blocking or the Pomodoro method can also improve ADHD focus by breaking work into manageable intervals. Additionally, creating clear priorities prevents taking on too many commitments that lead to overwhelm. Support communities and hashtags like #adhdmotivation and #mentalhealthawareness have been vital resources. They remind me I'm not alone, and sharing experiences can empower coping strategies. Ultimately, ADHD requires a compassionate approach, balancing productivity with mental health and self-care to break free from the exhausting cycle of over-starting and under-finishing.

Most people talk about ADHD like it’s consistent. It’s not.
Especially for women. ADHD symptoms can change depending on where you are in your cycle, during pregnancy, and even more significantly during perimenopause. The reason is simple, but not widely talked about: Estrogen affects dopamine. And dopamine is central to attention, motivation, and emotio
