Body Recomp: Same weight different you

First: I am 5’1.

A year ago, I was 136 lbs (62 kg), but it wasn’t in a way I was proud of. I had lost my home, my job, and had to put school on hold. It was one of the hardest years of my life, and I coped by binge eating, jumping from 119 lbs to 136 lbs.

Since then, I’ve worked hard to shed the fat, dropping to around 120–126 lbs. But over the last few months, I focused on building muscle, successfully recomping my body. Now, I’m back at 136 lbs—but looking WAY better than before.

✨ Same weight, different shape! ✨

✅ A more defined waistline

✅ Fuller, lifted glutes

✅ A tighter, more sculpted upper body

Proof that the scale doesn’t tell the full story! Body composition matters more than just weight. Keep pushing even if the scale says otherwise💪🏽🔥 Here’s my workout for the last 2-3 months! I added some tips as well but my main tip is to PLEAAAAASE rest and DRINK WATER.

... Read moreBody recomposition, often referred to as body recomp, emphasizes the importance of shifting body composition rather than merely focusing on weight. By performing specific strength training exercises, you can effectively gain muscle and lose fat, which can lead to a toned appearance even at the same weight. The OCR content details an exemplary workout routine that involves various upper and lower body exercises including dumbbell squats, hip thrusts, and plyometric activities like jump rope, all of which promote muscle growth and endurance. Incorporating progressive overload into these workouts is essential; this means gradually increasing the weights or the number of repetitions you aim for every couple of weeks. Additionally, proper sleep is critical for muscle recovery—aim for 7 to 9 hours to maximize benefits. Dehydration can hinder your performance, so ensure adequate water intake before, during, and after workouts. Lastly, emphasize recovery days for your muscles to rebuild, especially after heavy lower body exercises. Enhanced glute activation can also be achieved with targeted work like banded exercises or additional hip thrust days. Through consistent effort and smart strategies, impressive body transformation is within reach!
